I would write more, but I don't have time.

The idolizing or hating would depend on whether a person focuses on the good or bad. We all have both in us to some degree.

Exactly. I think that's the point here: the more you know someone, the more you're able to see both the good and the bad.

I think for me, my relationships with people tend to consist of stages: first I'm kind of uncomfortable around them, then I begin to idolize them (if I think they're great) and then, if I'm around them long enough, I start seeing their faults. Then, sometimes, with very good friends, I see faults (or things that bug me) and also see their good qualities. In short, with enough time, I learn to see the whole person.

Dearest - missed you horribly this week. It was great to be home, but not the same without you.

Great quote - I think that it needs to be added that we need to be more REAL with each other. When we really are who we are (which we often aren't because we're afraid others won't like the real us), most often, the best friendships develop. We're all just people, with good and bad, just as you said.

Thanks for being REAL with me.

Love you.
