Cake is spongy. And is also covered in buttercream frosting.

My dear, I am finally once again connected to the hive mind, after nearly two and a half weeks of isolation. Believe me, the Borg Queen herself could not have felt it more keenly. One thing I missed very much was reading your blog. So, welcome back to me! Oh, and BTW, chocolate cake (like love) also makes you fat. And happy. Usually more fat than happy. Sigh...
