My idea of a real treat growing up in California was a bag of right-off-the-tree lemons and a salt shaker. I cannot eat lemons with salt anymore because the lemons eat away my tooth enamel, and the salt is forbidden because of my hypertension. But I believe in my deepest heart of hearts that heaven will be full of lemon trees and salt. Hey, if Tom Bean could believe that heaven would have rivers of Pepsi, I can surely expect lemon trees, right?
So at first I was like "why are these lousy parents torturing their poor kids???" And then the longer I watched, the funnier it got. All of their reactions were so similar, a reminder that all humans have things in common, and yet so different...we're all unique. And then all I could think about was how I wanted to find a baby so I could feed it lemons. So apparently I am "that guy" the person that wants to feed lemons to babies. No wonder I'm single. :)
When Hyrum was teeny, we gave him a taste of a dill pickle and waited for just that reaction, and it never came. He liked it! He wanted to keep eating, but he had no teeth then.

Thanks for the chuckle.
I love it! Makes me want to go find a lemon to let my baby lick!
I love the ones where they flinch then laugh afterward, as if to say, "Whoa! THAT was unexpected!"
