what do you mean "almost"? Almost like Al Gore and Dewey? Or almost like Henry Clay's "I'll run 15 times if I have to!" Or something all together different?
Hmmm...can't think of an ALMOST president book....but I do know of a fabulous ACTUAL presidents book. It's called "So You Want To Be President?" by Judith St. George:
(I hope you get that link...if not, you can look it up yourself...it's truly fabulous. In the meantime, I really need to somehow learn how to link things using html language...)

Precision, precision.

Blast. I'm never good at precision. (I think it's one reason why I'm so bad at explaining things.)
I meant "almost" like Al Gore and Dewey: the ones who got really close. And. Or. I dunno. Maybe Henry Clay would be interesting too.
And Lindsay, I've been thinking lately that there are a heck of a lot of presidents I know nothing about. So excellent suggestion. :)
Try this online book on the subject of Almost President at:

Enjoy.
