Argh! I will post!

For those of you who believed I was dead, fear not. I am yet alive.

In fact, I will do my best to post a little something this evening...Hm... I think it will be about whole wheat flour & all the joys associated with it.

Yes. Mmm...

So, like, later, yo.

Looking forward to your thoughts on wheat flour.

I'd also like to know what you thought about "Until We Have Faces" (I noticed on your main page a note that you'd finished reading it). The Psyche myth has always appealed to me, but I had kind of mixed feelings about the book. Its reflections on our beliefs about God and our relationships with people were intriguing, but overall it wasn't as uplifting or enjoyable as I expected it to be.

Still waiting!! Maybe you're having so much fun with wheat flour that you've forgotten all about us...your dedicated readers. Checking your blog in vain hoping that there will be a fun new diversion from the papers we should be writing. Not that I would ever even associate with such a slacker...yeah.

Mmm. Well...so it took me long enough. Helllllooooo... Sorry, gals. I shwill be better next time. Like, the next time I post. Which will happen sooner than later. I hope.

What was I saying?

Oh, yeah.

I actually really enjoyed "Till We Have Faces;" this time through. It's at least my third time reading it, probably my fourth, and I think I've actually got to include it on one of my top 10 favorite books. I think it's taken me several times reading it before I've really started to understand how much like the main character I can be, and how her struggle against the gods is somehow at times a struggle I make against my own God. I think I saw it as a much more Christian book than I've seen it before; the pagan references & imagery in it always threw me off before, but it is in essence really about the God we know; He's just disguised somewhat.

Anyway--I'll post my current readings as well--I'm reading a book right now I'm really enjoying (rather guiltily). It involves the Napoleonic Wars and...dragons. Aheh.

Okay, so I like dragons. So sue me. They cool.
