Asking for help, here.

Hey, guys. I know it's kind of lame for me to be silent for ages and then post again just so I can ask for help...

But heck--I'm doing it.

I'm not sure if my family will be happy with me for talking about this or not, but I think the potential for extra help may outweigh the need to keep family troubles private.

My dad had a heart attack a couple of days ago. He went in for bypass surgery this morning, and ended up having 5 bypasses done. He's in pain, and his heart is pretty damaged.

And I'm concerned (read: really worried).

I've been praying all day, mostly because I can't think of anything else I can do. (I hate being so far away right now.) However, I do believe in the power of combined prayer. So, if you're willing and able and have the inclination and so on,

Please pray for him?

His name's Jeff.

Thanks, all.

Thanks for posting about this, Beth. I'd been debating about doing so myself. Those of us who are here are doing what we can to help Mom, but all we can really do for Dad right now is pray and fast for him. You are helping more than you know, I am sure. I love you, thank you for your faithfulness.

Definitely count me in honey! I know how hard it is not to be there and to feel helpless. Hang in there! I love you and your family so much and will keep the prayers going!

Beth, you can count on prayers from Arizona! I hate being away from my family too. I know a little bit of what you mean by how hard it can be. I can't imagine being in the East. You are a tough person though, and I love you and your family. Call me if you want to talk or you can e-mail. (801) 706-7372 or smileyrobis@gmail.com Love, Kellie

I love you, Bethyloo - I'm so sorry that you're so far away. I feel awful, too, being too far away. Thanks for your post. I miss you, and just wish I could give you a hug right now.

Our prayers and love are with you and your whole family as well as your dad. We love you all. I was able to put his name on the prayer roll in Newport Beach on Saturday. I'm sure the Lord is watching over him and your Mom. We love you. Auntie

My mom told me about him Sat. and I've been praying for him ever since. Good thing we have such a big extended family. There is power in numbers.
